Toss out that Shake Weight you have buried in your drawer, today, there is a new player in town and he uses electricity. Lifting your typical gym dumbbells is apparently a thing of the past. Now Pro-Idee brings us the BodyVib weights which actually vibrate at 36Hz or in other words 2,160 vibrations/min with an amplitude of 1.2mm, which acts as an intensifier when working out.
The theory behind this cool gadget is that the vibrations in your hands causes the muscles in your hands and arms to quickly contract and relax, which is said to burn more energy in a shorter period of time. Isn’t that what well all dream for less work, more results. All it takes is a 30-50 minute charge and the dumbbells will do their thing for 2 and a half hours. Sensors are in place to only allow the weights to start vibrating once they are in the pam of your hand. Clever! This all seems great but please, someone out there, let me know your thoughts?
Many different weights are available to purchase: a 3.3, 6 and 10 pounders. The BodyVib dumbbells sell for a jaw dropping ~$1,060 to ~$1,190.
