Transporter Provides A New Way to Share, Access and Protect Files
With the rise of cloud-storage came the creation of web-based services such as Dropbox, Google Drive, iCloud amongst others. Even though these services are awesome, people like us, are often faced with file-size limitations and a lack of privacy. Getting extra storage comes along with monthly service fees and the need to spam friends.
That’s when an innovative Santa Clara, California-based company took to Kickstarter to get funding for their alternative way to share, access and store files called the Transporter ($269 USD). The device stores user data exclusively on your local network of other Transporter users you authorize access to.
With privacy as a priority, the Transporter features unlimited sharing, remote access from any internet-connected device, offline access as well and no monthly fees. With 30 days to, the Transporter would be an awesome sock stuffer for your tech savvy friends and family.
