Island Retreat by Feron Hay
Imagine having your own Bedouin caravan island retreat. These fun structures from Feron Hay Architects were inspired the the soft canopy look of a Bedouin caravan. The roof lines look like canopies lightly draped and anchored with soft curves.
The mulitple structures, or living areas, were kept sectioned apart to give the house a more open and adventurous feel. The open fireplace on a patio at one end of the buildings gives an inviting feel just like an open campfire on a Bedouin trail. The structures are designed to mesh into the surround natural environment using natural colors, natural materials, and an open feel. You can see nature sifting through the retreat between the buildings and the large glass windows.
The center grass courtyard surrounded by numerous stone patios invites you and your guests to come together and enjoy life. If you want to escape the craziness of the business world, this island retreat may be the perfect place.
