Bugatti had the audacity to throw down the gauntlet of challenge when the announced the Bugatti Galiber sedan would have 1000 horsepower and would be faster than anything on the market. John Hennessey did not take that announcement sitting down. He took up the challenge and created a 1226 horsepower Cadillac CTS-V Coupe. Hennessey even went one step further. He issued a statement offering to show Bugatti just how fast this Cadillac can fly.
Hennessey stuffed a 7 liter V8 into the Cadillac which pounds out 1109 pounds of torque along with the mighty 1226 horsepower. A centerforce dual friction clutch upgrade was thrown into the manual transmission to help control all of this crazy power.
Just how fast will this luxury sedan scoot? It will do 0 to 60MPH in 2.9 seconds, run a quarter mile in only 10.2 seconds, and hit a top speed of over 240MPH.
Hennessey tweaked the body, suspension, and few other items to make this car ferocious. Bugatti’s Galiber better watch out because this CTS-V may just eat it for lunch. Hennessey is only planning to produce 12 of these special edition cars.
