Ring Clock by Gusztáv Szikszai
There are innovative watches. There are innovative clocks. But seldom, does anyone make such an dramatic change to the way we look at timekeeping as Gusztáv Szikszai. This intriguing concept throws away hands, dials, and digital readouts and replaces them with turning disks with simple illumination behind them.
Three separate rings rotate around the master ring to show you the exact time. The largest ring tracks the hours on a 24-hour cycle. The center ring spins faster tracking the 60 minutes. The final, and thinnest, ring spins rapidly tracking the seconds. With a quick glance you can see the exact time, but read fast because that seconds ring moves quickly. The ring clock is still in the concept stage and not ready for sale, but we should all keep our fingers crossed. This is an incredible looking timepiece to add to our lives.
