Phonebloks is a concept by Dave Hakkens that could transform the smart phone world, but we can expect Apple, Samsung, and other brands to scream in disgust. Phonebloks eliminates the era of phones being irreparable or requiring replacement to upgrade. The entire phone is built with pluggable blocks that can be replaced by the user to repair their phone or to upgrade the hardware. Need an upgraded screen? Pop off the old one and replace it. Want a faster processor? Remove the processor block and replace it. This open architecture turns the old method of building phones upside down. Instead of locked architecture, you have a wide open architecture begging for innovation and change.

Are you ready to join the Thunderclap of change and stop filling landfills with dead phones?
