An Israeli Company Has Created a Better Wheel That Lets You Ride Down Stairs In A Wheelchair
People say not to try and reinvent the wheel but Tel Aviv-based Softwheel has figured out a way to improve the wheel, allowing for the implementation of a Softwheel on both bicycles and wheelchairs. The Softwheel incorporates technology to easily ride over bumps and stairs.
The company’s “Selective Suspension Technology” activates as soon as a wheel encounters an impact above a certain threshold, resulting in the smoothest ride possible. Its intricate design allows for the wheel’s hub to move from its central location, creating a cushion-like effect that absorbs the shock that normally the rider would feel.
