Is the Alipina Extreme Diver truly extreme? The watch is extremely good looking with big bold number on the dial, a black face, and black strap. An Extreme Diver keeps excellent time, automatically self winds, and has a power reserve of 42 hours. Those are all nice features but does it really make the watch an extreme diving watch?
Alpina uses a glass sapphire crystal on the front of the watch and a stainless steel case. The watch face is a convenient 48mm in diameter. An Extreme Diver would look great on the arm of any man heading out for a night on the town, but it may not be the ideal choice for diving. It is rated to 100 meters which is a very common depth but it is not anything extreme.
The styling of the watch is an excellent implementation of the traditional diver’s watch design but once again, nothing extreme. Alpina has made an excellent watch which is reasonably priced at under $1000. You can learn more about this high quality watch on the Aplina website.
