Keto Mediterranean Flatbread – Recipe

This is a tasty low carb flatbread, perfect for sandwiches, salads, or other appetizers. It’s made with almond meal, for a nutty taste, and it’s lower in carbs than a typical pizza crust. I serve it with plenty of veggies, and also season with a little garlic.

This keto flatbread recipe is made from scratch and can be customized to accommodate the diet’s requirements. If you’re on a keto diet, this is a great recipe to make because it uses plenty of almond flour, white whole wheat, and zucchini. (You can also substitute a gluten-free and/or grain-free flour for the zucchini, if needed.)

A sturdily constructed and adaptable keto flatbread. This flatbread has a pita-like flavor thanks to the olive oil, and the rosemary and crushed black pepper give it an unique Mediterranean flavor.

  1. In a mixing basin, combine the dry ingredients.

  2. Combine the olive oil and cheese in a mixing bowl.

  3. Last, add the boiling water, stirring constantly. Continue stirring until all of the water has been absorbed by the psyllium fiber and coconut flour.

  4. Flatten the dough on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. The dough should be rolled or pressed until it is thin and even. Make sure it’s a consistent thickness of less than 1/8-inch (3mm).

  5. Preheat oven to 350°F (180°C) and bake for 20 to 25 minutes. The amount of time it takes to bake depends on the thickness of the dough.

  6. When the flatbread is golden brown, move it to a cooling rack, take away the parchment paper, and set it aside to cool. Cut the flatbread into squares using a pizza cutter for sandwiches. Any leftovers should be refrigerated.


Seasonings may be tweaked to suit your preferences. This dish may easily be made dairy-free by omitting the cheese.
