Low-Carb Rutabaga Wedges – Vegan Recipe –

Rutabaga (or swede) is a root vegetable that looks like a mound of green, fibrous lawn, and has a mild, sweet flavor. It’s a great source of vitamins and minerals, including beta-carotene, potassium, magnesium, and fiber, all of which help prevent cardiovascular disease. It can also raise your metabolism so that you burn more calories for the same amount of physical activity.

Rutabaga wedges are the PERFECT cure to those nagging desires for French fries. A fantastic replacement to potatoes that is healthy, easy, and low carb. You may season them as you like. Trust us when we say that they are addicting!

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400 degrees Fahrenheit (200 degrees Celsius).

  2. Rutabagas should be rinsed and peeled. Cut the potatoes into wedges and put them in a medium basin. Combine the olive oil, chili powder, salt, and pepper in a mixing bowl. To mix, stir everything together.

  3. Cover a baking sheet with parchment paper and arrange the rutabaga wedges on it. (Remove the phrase “Place in oven and”) Preheat the oven to 350°F and bake the rutabaga wedges for 20 minutes, or until brown. To see whether they’re ready, use a knife. Pay care as they bake quicker towards the finish.

  4. Serve with your favorite meat or seafood.

Tip!

Rutabagas are available from October through March, making them ideal for autumn and winter dishes. They keep for up to two weeks in the fridge, so you may experiment with them in different ways!
