Add 1/2 teaspoon anise essence or 2 teaspoons anise seeds to the dough for a different flavor. 2 tablespoons orange zest is also a good option.
What is the best way to store Pan de Muertos?
Keep the Pan de Muertos at room temperature for up to 5 days in an airtight container. You may toast it or use it in bread pudding after it begins to dry out.
